Mechanical Engineer
Project management for mechanical engineering piping systems in the piping industry and ACMV / HVAC systems. Lead sub-contractors, monitor quality, and ensure timeline compliance.
Job Description
- Project management for mechanical engineering piping system in Piping industry and ACMV / HVAC System.
- Proficient to read and analyze P&ID, CAD and 3D drawings for mechanical piping in ACMV / HVAC systems.
- Ensuring smooth execution of the project, coordinating site work with main-con, sub-con and client to ensure timely completion within budgeted cost and timelines.
- Lead sub-contractors for job execution and report work progress to the main contractor in conjunction with the projected schedule.
- Ensure the allocated man-hours are not overrun and that equipment and material delivery on site is timely.
- Conduct pre-installation and post-installation briefings with the installation supervisor and contractors, and ensure all works meet the specified quality and EHS standards.
- Review and analyse design drawings and identify discrepancies between tender, contract and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or site issues.
- Establish weekly target installation KPIs and daily dia-inch targets, implement and keep track.
- Weekly reporting to management on lead and lag.
- Contingency planning and mitigation for worst-case scenarios.
Job Requirements
- Male and female candidates are equally welcome.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, an equivalent, or any related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in M&E project coordination or management experience with piping systems in HVAC / ACMV systems.
- Able to interact effectively with all levels, from workers to management.
- Able to work independently; outgoing, resourceful, and takes initiative.
- Result-oriented with a focus on quality of work.
- Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD and other project management software is advantageous.
- The ability to draw isometrics is an added advantage.
- Able to forecast, plan and prepare for upcoming work preparation, procurement and coordination in advance.
- Must be able to converse and write in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
